Travel Dates: January 1 – February 11, 2010

Disney World has released three new room only discounts for stays during the travel dates listed above. Your stay may extend past February 11, however, only nights up to and including February 11 will be discounted. The discounts are available for Annual Passholders, Florida Residents and the general public. The Annual Passholder discounts are the best deal, followed by the Florida Resident and then the general public. You may qualify for more than one, but you are only able to select one discount, so you should take the cheapest option for your dates.

• Disney Moderate resort, standard view room: $$89 – $96
• Disney’s Polynesian, garden view room: $200 – $219

These are nightly rates at the resort, and do not include the 12.5% room tax. Weekend nights may be more expensive than weekday nights at the value and moderate resorts. An annual pass will be required at check in to receive the annual passholder discount. Proof of FL residency is required at check in to receive the FL resident discount.

Walt Disney World has released a new promotion that covers travel dates in 2009 and 2010. The buy 4 get 3 free promotion that was popular during much of 2009 has made a return, with a slight variation:

• Buy 4 get 3 free: Purchase a 7 night, 7 day vacation at a Disney moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa resort, and receive 3 nights and 3 days free. A savings of up to 45%.
• Buy 5 get 2 free: Purchase a 7 night, 7 day vacation at a Disney value resort, and receive 2 nights and 2 days free. A savings of up to 30%.

Stays can be longer than 7 nights, though you will only receive the number of night indicated above free (2 or 3, depending on resort category). Stays can be shorter than 7 nights as well, though your savings will be reduced drastically as you are leaving free nights on the table.

Travel Dates: April 24 – May 26, 2010

Disney Cruise Line has released a special Kids Sail Free discount for limited Mediterranean Cruise for the summer of 2010. There are a few requirements:

• Kids 17 and under sail free on most 10- and 11-night Mediterranean cruises, April 24 – May 26, 2010, when traveling with two full-fare Guests in the same stateroom.

Walt Disney World has announced an extension of the the “Free Dining” promotion for 2009. With the “Free Dining” promotion, Disney resort guests who book a Magic Your Way package that includes both your Disney resort room and your Magic Your Way park passes, will receive one of the Disney Dining plan add-ons for free for all guest three and older in their party. There are a few requirements:

• You must book at least a three night stay, and your stay cannot be longer than 10 nights
• You must include at least a one day Magic Your Way base ticket

There is one small change with this promotion, from past free dining offers.

• Book a three night stay at at Disney Value resort, and receive the Quick Service dining plan included for free with your stay.
• Book a three night or longer stay at a Disney Moderate, Deluxe or Villa resort, and receive the Disney Dining plan included for free with your stay.

As it was in the past, this year Disney World guests will also be able to book the “Free Dining”, and upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference, which is $32 for adults and $10 for children three to nine. Guests staying at one of the Disney Value resorts may upgrade to the Disney Dining plan by paying the difference, which is $10 for adults and $2 for children three to nine, or the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference of $42 for adults and $12 for children age three through nine. These upgrade prices are the nightly increase, and you must pay for each night of your stay to upgrade. The Wine and Dine option is also available at full price to add onto either the Basic or Deluxe dining plans.

Availability is extremely limited, and must be booked by September 26, 2009. It appears that all suites have been excluded from this offer, though all resorts, including value resorts are included.

One thing to note that while the last date of travel is December 17, though if your vacation extends past that date, the free dining add-on will be included for your entire stay. The only requirement is that you must check in December 17 or before. As usual, this is subject to availability.
