Disney VISA Free Disney Dining 201128 Apr

Travel Dates: August 28 – September 24, 2011

Walt Disney World has announced the “Free Dining” discount. Currently, the discount is only available to Disney VISA cardholders, though it will be released to the general public starting on Monday, May 2, 2011. With the “Free Dining” promotion, Disney resort guests who book a Magic Your Way package that includes both your Disney resort room and your Magic Your Way park passes, will receive one of the Disney Dining plan add-on for free for all guest three and older in their party. There are a few requirements:

  • You must book at least a three night stay, and your stay cannot be longer than 10 nights
  • You must include at least a two day Magic Your Way base ticket
  • You must pay your $200 per room deposit at time of booking, you cannot “hold” a reservation
  • As part of the package, you will also receive one 20 page Photopass photo book

Guests staying at a Disney World value resort will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan for free. Guests will be able to upgrade to either the Disney Dining plan or the Deluxe Disney Dining plan by paying the price difference. To upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan, the increased cost will be $11 per adult per night, kids are free to upgrade. To upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining plan, guests will pay $44 per adult and $10 per child per night of your stay.

Guests staying at a Disney World Moderate, Deluxe or Disney Villa resort will receive the Disney Dining Plan included for free. Disney World guests at moderate, deluxe and villa resorts will also be able to book the “Free Dining”, and upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference, which is $33 for adults and $10 for children three to nine. The Wine and Dine option is also available at full price to add onto either the Basic or Deluxe dining plans.

Availability is extremely limited, and must be booked by August 27, 2011 It appears that all suites have been excluded from this offer, though all resorts, including value resorts are included (All-Star Family Suites are included). To receive the Disney VISA cardholder discount, you must pay your deposit at time of booking with your Disney VISA. As a reminder, this exact discount should be released on May 2 to the general public without the Disney VISA requirements.

The last day to check in and receive the free dining for your entire stay is September 24, 2011.

WDW Summer Annual Passholder Discounts25 Apr

Travel Dates: June 3 – August 13, 2011

Walt Disney World has released special Summer room only discounts for Annual Passholders. You must check in during the travel dates, however, you can extend your stay past August 13, 2011. Only the nights included in the travel dates listed above will be discounted. Availability is limited, though all resorts and most room types are available. Some nights may not be discounted, and weekend prices may be slightly higher. The savings are as follows:

  • Save 25% at Disney Value Resorts
  • Save 30% at Disney Moderate Resorts
  • Save 35% at Disney Deluxe Resorts
  • Save 40% at Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts

Some Sample Nightly Rates:

  • Pop Century, standard room: $99 per night
  • Caribbean Beach, standard view room: $148 per night
  • Wilderness Lodge, standard view room: $217
  • Animal Kingdom Lodge, Arusha savanna view room: $297 per night
  • Beach Club, standard view room: $257
  • Polynesian, garden view room: $311 per night
  • Grand Floridian, theme park view room: $396 per night
  • Saratoga Springs, 2 bedroom villa: $411 per night

The prices above are per night, and do not include the 12.5% room tax. All of the dates covered are during Summer season at WDW, except at the deluxe and deluxe villa resorts, which switch to value season starting July 17, 2011.

Annual Passholders can also book a package that include these special nightly rates, and a Disney Dining plan, which is not discounted. An active annual passport will be required at check in to receive the discount.

2012 Disney Cruise Itineraries and Ports06 Apr

For the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line will set sail from three new ports in 2012 – New York, Seattle and Galveston – making the Disney family cruise vacation more accessible to your Clients around the country. There are also more itinerary choices than ever before, including one special voyage to Hawai‘i.

New York Sailings

Beginning May 25, 2012, the Disney Magic will sail a total of 20 cruises from New York.

  • 8-night Bahamian cruises include a day at Disney’s Castaway Cay and a stop at Port Canaveral, gateway to the Walt Disney World Resort. As part of this itinerary, your Client will receive a one-day Park Hopper® Ticket and roundtrip transportation between the ship and resort.
  • 5-night Canadian/New England cruises will visit Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Saint John, New Brunswick.
  • 2-night cruises are perfect for Clients looking for a quick getaway at sea over a weekend.

Seattle Sailings

Beginning May 28, 2012, the Disney Wonder will sail a total of 14 cruises to Alaska from the Port of Seattle, Washington.

  • 7-night Alaskan cruises will call on Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan plus Victoria, British Columbia.

Galveston Sailings

Beginning Sept. 22, 2012, the Disney Magic will sail 12 cruises from the Port of Galveston, Texas.
7-night Western Caribbean cruises will visit Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico, as well as Grand Cayman.

Los Angeles Sailings

In addition to 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises, the Disney Wonder will set sail on Disney’s first-ever voyage to Hawai‘i on April 29, 2012.

  • 15-night Hawaiian cruise departs from the Port of Los Angeles and includes stops at Hilo; Kahului, Maui; Honolulu, Oahu; Nawiliwili, Kauai and Ensenada, Mexico.
  • 7-night Pacific Coast cruises will call on San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.

The Disney Dream will continue to sail 3-, 4- and 5-night Bahamian cruises. The new Disney Fantasy will offer Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, beginning with the maiden voyage on March 31, 2012. Sail dates for both ships are now available through December 2012.
