Description: Disney’s newest deluxe resort, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, is an adventure in the making. Featuring rooms that have balconies overlooking savannahs that surround the resort, you can wake up feeling like you are on safari viewing giraffe, zebra and other exotic animals.

Amenities: The resort features an African themed pool with waterslide and waterfall, as well as many viewing areas of the savannah throughout the resort, and many relaxing conversation areas on higher floors where you can sit and watch the animals graze.

Rooms: Standard rooms are approximately 340 Square Feet, and feature either a King, two Queen size beds or a Queen size and one bunk bed, a sitting area and private balcony. Rooms feature either a standard view, water view or savannah view. Deluxe rooms are available, and may feature an additional Day bed and are approximately 380 Square Feet. Concierge service is also available.

Disney has recently expanded the Animal Kingdom Lodge, by adding on the Animal Kingdom Villas. The Villas are on several of the floors of the original Animal Kingdom Lodge as well as in their own building. A great option for families or larger groups.

Transportation: The Animal Kingdom Lodge is located in a remote part of Walt Disney World, and is the closest resort to the Animal Kingdom Park. Bus service is available to the Ticket and Transportation Center, the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom Park and Downtown Disney directly from the resort.

Cost: Standard view rooms start at $205 during value season up to $319 during the Holidays. Savannah view rooms start at $270 during value season up to $400 during the Holidays. Other rooms are available.
