The Walt Disney World® features 23 resorts (with more being added all the time) with over 25,000 hotel rooms available to Disney World guests. Disney has a wide range of resorts, something for everyone if you wish, from campgrounds for tents and RVs to some of the nicest hotel rooms in Florida. The Walt Disney World® Resort has divided all of their resorts into four categories, value, moderate, deluxe and deluxe villa resorts.
Walt Disney World Value Resorts (All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports, All-Star Music and Pop Century) : Nice, if smallish rooms, very clean, and always fun resorts. Well themed with oversized icons to fit the resort. Disney’s answer to the discount resorts located off-property.
Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts (Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside and Disney’s Fort Wilderness) : Slightly larger and nicer rooms than the Value resorts, buildings are more spread out with great landscaping, no large icons but great theming at resorts, much quieter than the Value resorts and better pools with slides.
Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts (Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club, Polynesian, Contemporary and Grand Floridian): Disney’s nicest, most upscale resorts. Queen beds, some resorts with day beds, great landscaping and pools. You also get the nicest locations, often next to theme parks or other areas of Disney World.
Walt Disney World Deluxe Villa Resorts (Animal Kingdom Villas, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Boardwalk Villas, Beach Club Villas, Villas at Wilderness Lodge and Bay Lake Tower): Equal to the deluxe resorts in location and quality, the villas feature larger areas for families and groups to stay in one room, the larger room feature full kitchens and laundry facilities.
