On a recent vacation to Disney World, I gave my family a challenge: DISCOVER NEVER BEFORE TASTED SNACK ITEMS FROM AROUND “THE WORLD”. A difficult job I know, but one they were willing to take on. I learned a few things with this challenge. First, for a family who goes to Disney World as often as we do, I was amazed at just how many snack items we have naively passed by through the years. The second thing I realized was it was easier to find more creative options in some parks over others. … [Read more...]
Disney Character Education
Watching your child recognize familiar Disney characters and stories and the thrill of seeing them come alive before us is part of what drives millions of people to visit Disney Parks every year. So if you have a little one who perhaps is limited in their TV/movie watching, what are the stories that are highly represented in the parks? The four theme parks are certainly the cornerstone of a Disney vacation but there is so much more to enjoy beyond the parks. A couple years ago I booked one of the fishing excursions for the first time. Now, our kids have done some local lake fishing for sunnies but those outings usually consist of way too much time dealing with tangled lines, avoiding getting jabbed by hooks and freak outs over getting the fish off the hook in the event someone was actually lucky enough to catch one. So as I … [Read more...]
