Several weeks ago, Disney World announced a new building that is just being completed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that will go by the name of Sunset Showcase. This new building is built directly north of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and directly West of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in an area that used to be a service parking lot.
The intent of this new entertainment showplace is to host a variety of different experiences over time. The first entertainment option will be Club Disney. Club Disney will be the hottest spot in town for kids and characters alike! You can join Mickey and the gang and take to the dance floor in this electric club environment, where a DJ Club Host spins the perfect playlist mix of your favorite Radio Disney Top 40 songs as the floor and walls come alive with vivid images from classic Disney animation.
Club Disney will also feature a cool seating area and snack station, where you can refuel and recharge – both yourself and your electronic devices – before heading out for more adventures in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Club Disney premieres at Sunset Showcase on December 4, 2015, and should be open daily, but will most likely offer limited hours, so check the schedule if you want to go. No separate admission is required.
But the big news today is a second option has been announced for the Sunset Showcase: Club Villain!
Beginning January 16, 2015, the mysterious Dr. Facilier welcomes Guests into Club Villain, his parlor of mystical mishaps, for a spellbinding evening. This special-ticket event, offered only on select evenings, will feature musical numbers with the help of a DJ, as well as appearances by the divas of evil – Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil, and the Evil Queen. Throughout the evening, you can enjoy fiendish concoctions from the Potions Bar and savor culinary delights from New Orleans while they mingle with the villains and dance the night away!
The price is $99 per person (tax and gratuity included). Package availability is limited and non-commissionable. On nights when Club Villain is offered, Club Disney will continue to operate during the day at Sunset Showcase so Guests can join Mickey and friends on the dance floor.
Currently, Club Villain is scheduled Saturday nights in January, February and March, 2016.
Advance reservations are recommended and can be made up to 90 days in advance. A separate ticket admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required. Guests must be 21 or older to consume alcohol, but guests of all ages will be admitted. Disney dining plan entitlements may not be redeemed for this event.
