Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience

In a continuation of Walt Disney World launching new low volume and high price experiences for guests, Disney has announced a new one today – Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience. In the past few months we have seen the Disney Early Morning Magic – Fantasyland and the Disney After Hours launched, both located in the Magic Kingdom. While reviews on both of those events have been mixed, that has not stopped Disney from trying another one at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience

The Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience allows you to welcome the evening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park with a private safari, African tapas, all-inclusive beverages and more.

Once you hop aboard a private safari vehicle, you will journey deep into the heart of Harambe Wildllife Reserve. As the evening awakens, you will find yourself within one of the most secluded and breathtaking private viewing areas the Savanna has to offer. And, while savoring the scenery, you can indulge in a sampling of Africa-inspired tapas, paired with an all-inclusive selection of regional beers and wines.

A trained photographer will take photos throughout the adventure – a service that’s included with the tour. And, when the excursion comes to a close, you will receive a photo code you can use to access and download images taken during the experience. Plus, you will also receive a commemorative keepsake.

The cost is $169 per Guest (tax not included). Valid Theme Park admission is required, and each participant must be at least 8 years old. Each experience is limited to a maximum of 12 Guests. Inclement weather conditions and other factors may affect schedules, and offerings are subject to change without notice.

Booked our first trip with the family to Disney through Dana @ Mouseketrips. Dana helped us pick the right resort, book all our tickets, suggest great restaurants for our family, helped us plan our itinerary for the week, what fast passes to get and when, and made sure we did everything on time so we got the best selection of everything. When I had a question, I usually had a response within an hour...even in the middle of the night. During our trip we never spent more than 15-20 minutes in a line and had fast passes for all the right rides at the right time. I originally started out as the coordinator of 4 families, for a Disney Cruise. After hard work looking for a travel planner, I landed at Mousketrips and with Laura. After five long months of planning, I stepped down and allowed another family member to take the reigns and they booked with another company. I said all of that to say this, Laura was incredible. I had tons of questions and sent tons of emails, asking her to change this and add that, and what's the new total? Not once did she lead me to believe that I was being a nuisance. This was my 2 young children's first trip to Disney World. I wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible so I decided to use a Disney travel agency. We used Brooke with Mouseketrips and she was amazing! She had such insight and suggestions that we never would have thought of. She suggested we book a double stroller and have if delivered to the hotel which was a fabulous idea. She suggested we order food from Vons and have it delivered to the hotel to bring into the park for snacks and water and even breakfast and that was a fabulous idea. She created an itinerary of the best rides and times of day to do the rides catered specifically for my 4 and 5 year old. Those were just some of the things. Our trip was incredible! Working with Nikki once before, my future husband contacted her to surprise me for my 30th birthday. She is BY FAR the only planner we will use moving forward, as she completely outdid herself! She booked everything for us, hooked us up with an amazing STANDARD room that ended up having a savanna view and offered insight and input into what reservations would be best for us. My family of 3 just got back from a weeks vacation to Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando which was all planned out for us by Kelly at Mouseketrips. I am so glad I found out about the company and had Kelly to help us throughout this journey! We planned it about 9 months ago. She only respond me a couple of times when I paid the 200 dollars for the trip that’s it ! After that nothing She never answer me my first email with questions that I resend three times for a month so I decide it to find another person because I’ really don’t know anything about Disney world so I need guidance. **CLIENT TESTIMONIAL** February 2020 Nikki Greene, of Mouseketrips, arranged our family trip to Disneyland to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. She did a superb job and the trip was flawless! We chose Premier View Club Level Rooms in the Adventure Tower of the Disneyland Hotel, thanks to a discount Nikki found for us. We had three rooms and 10 people altogether ranging in ages from 6 to 75. Our rooms were all on the same floor and the Club Level service and Concierge staff were marvelous. They thought of things for us before we did! Plus snacks and drinks available at all hours. During our stay we did: The Character Breakfast at the Storyteller Cafe, a one day VIP private tour with a personal guide, the three day park hopper ticket with MAX pass, and thanks to all the advice given to us by the Club Level Concierge, we were able to get on the new Rise of the Resistance attraction in the new Star Wars Land. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nikki Greene was in helping us plan 3 Disney Vacations, and can't wait to book our 4th one with her! She simplified what I thought was such an enormous task. She has the Magic Bands sent to your home, makes recs for Fast Passes, books dining reservations, arranges the 'Magical Express' ride that takes your family from the Orlando airport to your hotel, sending luggage tags to your home so once you check in at the airport you don't have to deal w/ your checked bags as they arrive directly to your room. For one trip we had to fly out of Boston a day early to avoid a blizzard and left her a vmail before sunrise in her time zone. By the time we stepped off the plane in Orlando, she had left me a vmail w/ hotel reservation info for us. We have recommended her to many friends who have been thrilled w/ her as well. NIKKI is truly MAGICAL!!!

I returned from my Girls only Disney Trip on Sunday. It was absolutely amazing and surpassed my wildest expectation. This was our first time using Mousketrips, based on seeing some wonderful online reviews for it, and we were fortunate find our Disney specialist to help us plan our 1st ever adventure to a Disneyland Park (and California Adventure Park!). Nikki Greene was great to work with and amazingly accessible by text, phone, and email (what a great trio!). She even sent us pictures from her trip to the park the week prior to our trip, to share with us additional information she had learned about the Junior Chef “Cooking with Goofy” California Wine Festival event in the California Adventure Park! Now that was going the extra mile! Nikki truly gave us great guidance on hotels, restaurants, tips on seeing the park, shows, etc. and even made a number of dining reservations for us. We had a magnificent 1st Disney vacation thanks so much to her wonderful guidance!

I used to plan my own trips to WDW, but then heard about Dana. Best thing I ever did. She took care of EVERYTHING. She also gets to hear all about the good deals going on before the public so gets you booked before they're all gone. I sent my granddaughter her way and said she'll never book with anyone else. Do NOT go to Disney without Catherine at Mouseketrips!! Literally cannot say enough good things about her. She planned our trip to celebrate our Princess turning 6, from the hotel to dining reservations to fast pass management. Our app went down in the park and she was unfailingly available to help us figure out what we were doing and where we should be. Her recommendations for restaurants and attractions that our daughter would enjoy were spot on! Even my husband, who was initially Mr. Negative about using a travel agent, did a complete 180 and fell in love with Catherine while on the trip. Everywhere we looked it seemed we saw people who appeared to have no idea where they were going/what they were doing, waiting in ridiculously long lines or just generally looking dazed and confused. Each time Jim would look knowingly at me and say, "They should've called Catherine..." If you want to do anything Disney related, you simply MUST call Catherine. She was like our personal Fairy Godmother and I can't wait to plan our next trip with her!
